
Currently, Gargee leads three teams. As director of Global Program Advocacy & Communications, Gargee Ghosh leads the team that develops and implements advocacy and communications strategies for the foundation’s priorities. As director of Development Policy & Finance, she leads the international economic policy team, working with international finance and economic decision-makers in donor and emerging markets. She also serves in the foundation’s Strategy Office where she leads the team assessing medium-range global trends and their relevance for foundation programs around the world.
Gargee has previously held senior positions at McKinsey & Company, Google, and the Center for Global Development. She serves on the board of Camfed USA and previously served a two-year term on President Obama’s Global Development Council. Gargee holds graduate degrees in development economics from the University of Oxford and in international relations (MSFS) from Georgetown, and an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Victoria in Canada. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and two children.
